Mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo makes an appearance at this year's Lincoln Center Fall Gala which celebrates the human voice. The performance highlights a captivating blend of opera, jazz, and the American Songbook while raising critical funds necessary to support Lincoln Center’s work in the community, ensuring free and accessible programming for New Yorkers. The evening is hosted by Helga Davis and contains an incredible lineup, including Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, opera singer and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars 4 winner Monét X Change, GRAMMY Award-winner Nathan Schram, singer-songwriter Becca Stevens, mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves, soprano Brittany Olivia Logan among many other. The gala takes place at the David Greffen Hall on November 18.

On November 15, Counter tenor Cameron Shahbazi performs the world premiere of the concert series “Warsaw sessions” together with pianist Sophia Munoz. The concept by Shahbazi and Munoz is an intimate and personal portrayal of the shared journey of two friends to connect seemingly unrelated songs, in which the common thread is the reflection that comes from difficult experiences, and music and its universality become the tool to process them. The concert takes place at Nowa Miodowa in Warsaw.

CSAM is thrilled to announce the addition of Canadian soprano Olivia Smith to the roster! Smith is lauded for her “rich, humane soprano” (Opera Canada) and “convincing and poignant” portrayals (Boston Musical Intelligencer). Currently in her second year of San Francisco Opera’s prestigious Adler Fellowship program, the young soprano performs this season as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Opera Philadelphia and as Micaela in San Francisco Opera’s “Carmen Encounter”. Last season in San Francisco, she made her mainstage debut as the Voice of the Falcon in Strauss’ Die Frau ohne Schatten, followed by appearances as First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and the role of Chrisann Brennan in Mason Bates and Mark Campbell’s The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs.

Hoskins is joined on stage by Soprano Vanessa Becerra as Norina, baritone Alexey Lavrov as Dr. Malatesta, and bass-baritone Matt Burns as Don Pasquale. Noah Lindquist leads Festival Orchestra Napa in this enduring tale of love and deception. The opera can be experienced on November 15 at the Mondavi Center in Davis.
