Kathryn Lewek signs Queen of the Night in the new production of The Magic Flute for the 2024 Mandel Opera and Humanities Festival in Cleveland. Rolando Villazón returns to the Salzburg Festival to take part in two opera galas. On May 18, 2024 Villazón sings in the staged opera pastiche Une Folle Journée based on the music from Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte to celebrate Mozart and his congenial collaborator Lorenzo Da Ponte. On May 20, 2024 Plácido Domingo, who has been performing in Salzburg for 50 years, takes to the stage as part of a gala featuring numerous Operalia prize winners including Rolando Villazón.

He received his vocal training at the University of Pristina and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. He is a former member of the opera studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper and is currently a part of the ensemble for the season 24/25.
