Nadezhda Karyazina makes her house and role debut at the Wiener Staatsoper this October as La Musica, La Speranza and Eco in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, alongside Rolando Villazón in the title role. They are joined by Florina Ilie as Euridice, Margaret Plummer as Messaggera/Proserpina, Matheus França as Plutone and Wolfgang Bankl as Caronte. Stefan Gottfried conducts Concentus Musicus Wien in Tom Morris’ production. Performances take place on 25, 28 and 31 October and 3 November 2026.

Rolando Villazón joins the lautten compagney BERLIN and its artistic director Wolfgang Katschner for "Seelenreise" at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival. The programme explores the origins of accompanied solo singing through works by Claudio Monteverdi, Giulio Caccini, Heinrich Schütz, Giovanni Gabrieli, Luigi Rossi, and other early Baroque composers. Rolando Villazón returns to Schloss Raesfeld for two open-air performances of Spanish Night on 15 and 16 August 2026. Joined by soprano Charlotte Langner, the festival:philharmonie Westfalen orchestra, and conductor Michael Zlabinger, he presents a vibrant programme celebrating the passion and spirit of Spanish music, ranging from the rich tradition of zarzuela to operatic favourites. As part of the 2026 Mozart anniversary celebrations, Rolando Villazón presents his programme "Villazón & Mozart" at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Joined by countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, who also serves as musical director, and the Baroque orchestra PRJCT Amsterdam, Villazón performs a selection of arias and scenes from Mozart's operas, including Idomeneo, La clemenza di Tito, Il re pastore and The Magic Flute. The concerts take place on 7 August 2026 at the Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck and on 9 August 2026 at the Deutsches Haus Flensburg.
