Siphokazi Molteno: The People’s Choice Concert and season opening at The Dallas Opera

Mezzo-soprano Siphokazi Molteno joins this year’s People’s Choice Concert that is set to open the 2024/2025 season at The Dallas Opera. Molteno is joined on stage by Chilean soprano Yaritza Véliz, American tenor Wayd Odle and Mexican baritone Alfredo Daza. Conductor Paolo Bressan leads The Dallas Opera Orchestra. The concert takes place in the iconic Winspear Opera House on October 5.

Mezzo-soprano Siphokazi Molteno sings a recital with pianist Hervé N’Kaoua as apart of the festival Estivales de Musique en Médoc in France. The program consists of a variety of arias from composers such as Schubert, Mahler, Donizetti and Rossini among others. The concert takes place at Chateau Léoville Poyferré on July 4.

Siphokazi Molteno: Don Giovanni’s Inferno at the Royal Danish Opera

Siphokazi Molteno sings her debut at the Royal Danish Opera in a new opera production by the Danish composer and stage director Simon Steen-Andersen. Don Giovanni’s Inferno is a modern opera based on the final act of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and explores the aftermath. Siphokazi sings the Mezzo-soprano part and is accompanied on stage by Soprano Fanny Soyer, Baritone Cody Quattlebaum, Bass baritone Damien Pass, Tenor Fredrik Bjellsäter and bass Geoffroy Buffière. The opera is conducted by Bassem Samir Akiki and can be experienced on April 20, 25, 27 and May 2, 4 and 9.
