One of the most compelling artists of her generation, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey possesses a rare combination of world class vocal artistry coupled with equally expansive acting gifts. This “force of nature” (SFCV) is a regular guest on the world’s most celebrated stages, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Opera Festival, Festival Aix-en-Provence, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Bavarian State Opera. 

In 2024-2025, Kate Lindsey continues to dazzle audiences in wide variety of world premieres and new productions. With Teatro alla Scala she launches the season as Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier under the baton of Kirill Petrenko. She later returns to the storied opera house to create the leading role of Adso da Melk the world premiere of Il nome della rosa, composed by Francesco Filidei and staged by Damiano Michieletto.

Kate Lindsey: Maria Stuarda at the Salzburg Festival

Kate Lindsey returns to the Salzburg Festival with a leading role of Elisabetta in the new production of Maria Stuarda by Ulrich Rasche with the music direction by Antonello Manacorda. Singing opposite Lisette Oropesa in the title role, Lindsey can be heard on August 1, 7, 11, 16, 19, 23 and 30.

Kate Lindsey and jazz pianist Baptiste Trotignon perform a recital at the Opéra National du Rhin on June 26, 2025. The program featuring Lieder and songs by Korngold, Zemlinsky and Alma Mahler. Leading the pack is Kurt Weill and his witty compositions from his time spent in Germany, France and the United States.

Kate Lindsey: Lee Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub, world premier in Vienna

Kate Lindsey takes on the world premiere in the title role of Lee Miller in the cantata Lee Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub written and produced by Jan Lauwers and composed by Maarten Seghers. The mezzo soprano and the Needcompany explore the riveting life of the eponymous American model and WWII photographer. The performance take place at NEST stage of the Vienna State Opera on June 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9, 2025.
