Piotr Beczała: Recital at the Philharmonie Luxembourg

On February 08th, the tenor Piotr Beczała returns to the Philharmonie for a recital in the intimacy of the Salle de Musique de Chambre. This time he puts his "velvety timbre and brilliant high notes" (ResMusica) at the service of Robert Schumann's song cycle Dichterliebe, followed by arias penned by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The singer roams the musical realms of Germany and Russia accompanied by Helmut Deutsch.

Joseph Calleja: Winter Festival in Ljubljana

On 3rd February 2022 tenor Joseph Calleja performs at the 5th Winter Festival alongside the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Italian conductor Gianluca Marcianò. The program includes works by Giuseppe Verdi, Jules Massenet, Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni and Francesco Cilea.

Piotr Beczała: Recital at the Gran Teatre del Liceu

On February 03rd, the much applauded Polish tenor, Piotr Beczala, returns to the Liceu, together with pianist Sarah Tysman, for a recital. With a programme full of highlights – from Verdi arias to Rachmaninov songs and Tchaikovsky arias through out to the French repertoire of Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and Massenet’s Werther – the tenor will show the versatility of his voice, his infinite range of nuances and the mastery of mezza voce and pianissimo which are the hallmarks of his art.

Theodore Platt

The British-Russian baritone Theodore Platt, praised by critics for his “warm and powerful” voice (Music OMH), is one of the great talents of his generation. In the 2025/26 season, he makes his role debut as Papageno in a highly anticipated new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Mozart Week in Salzburg, directed by Rolando Villazón. He also makes his debut as Papageno at the Santander Festival. At the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, Platt continues his artistic development with role debuts as Silvio (Pagliacci) and Dr. Malatesta (Don Pasquale). Additionally, on the recital platform he gives performances of his critically acclaimed Mortal Wounds programme with pianist Keval Shah at Leeds Song, along with Schumann’s Dichterliebe in Schwerin.
